[STUDY]: How often do you or your students use educational technology in your classroom?

infographic EdTechDo you think, that educational technology is taking over?

A national online survey of teachers and administrators, conducted online in the US for Common Sense Media’s Graphite by Harris Interactive in May 2013 asked educators, (764 public school preK-12 teachers and 205 public school administrators), questions such as: How often do you or your students use educational technology in your classroom? What are the biggest challenges to integrating educational technologies in schools?

The visual below shows that educational technology is essential but despite the enthusiasm for educational technology, only a few teachers report using it frequently. The biggest challenges to integrating edtech in schools seem to be funding, insufficient tech infrastructure, lack of time to implement, and training.

It seems that teachers like the technology in classrooms, but they do not use it.
